Work on the whole stack.

The group builds the whole stack. Identity, compute, storage, mail, video and the devices at the edge of the network are written and operated in house rather than assembled from other people's software. An engineer here sees a problem from the silicon to the browser tab, and owns it end to end.

    Send the work, not a summary of it. A repository, a board, a mechanism, a paper. Tell us which part you did.

  2. A conversation

    One call with the people you would work beside. It is about the thing you built and how you decided what to build.

  3. A piece of real work

    A scoped, paid engagement on something the group is genuinely doing. It is not a puzzle, and there is no whiteboard.

  4. An offer

    Terms in writing, with the arrangement and the location stated plainly.
